Reverend Ford is the founding pastor of Grace City Church and serves as the Executive Director of Project NOW, an organization with the mission of eliminating the causes of poverty and improving the conditions wherein poor people live.

He is a United States Marine Corps Veteran with service tours which included Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Reverend Ford holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University, with a concentration in Business Management and Leadership and a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.  Currently, he is a Doctoral of Ministry candidate at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in a joint program with the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

He is the author of Never Easy, Always Necessary; Rediscovering the Ministry of Jesus Christ in an Era of Crisis and Complacency (The Beckham Publications Group 2011).  His work and research centers upon the Theology of the Civil Rights Era (1954-68), the Intersection of the Black Social Gospel and Black Liberation Theology, Faith-Based Community Economic Development, Organizing, and Poverty Elimination.  Reverend Dwight Ford is married to Dr. Argrow “Kit” Evans-Ford and together they have two children; Imani and Justice.
